About Dr. Jones:

Dr. Jones

Dr. Jones received his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University in 1980.  He then completed his medical degree at West Virginia University in 1984.  From 1984 through 1986 he received his internship and residency training in general surgery at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.  During these two years, he had the privilege of working with two plastic surgeons.  In 1986 he worked as an Emergency Room Physician at City Hospital in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Dr. Jones returned to West Virginia University Hospitals in 1987 through 1991 to complete his Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery training.  During these four years of training, Dr. Jones received extensive training including facial plastic surgery, repair of facial fractures, head and neck cancer, Thyroid, and sinus surgery.  During six months of his training he was responsible for the cleft palate clinic staffed by Otolaryngologists and General Plastic Surgeons.  He also gained extensive experience reconstructing soft tissue defects created by Dermatologists using Mohs’ micrographic surgery.

Dr. Jones became a resident member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1989.  Facial Plastic Surgery is a Subspecialty of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and solely performs Plastic Surgery in the Head and Neck.

After completing his residency, he became an Associate Member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) in 1991, whose mission is to promote the highest quality facial plastic surgery through education, dissemination of professional information, and the establishment of professional standards.  A facial plastic surgeon is usually board certified in Otolaryngology.  To become board certified, a physician must pass a series of rigorous oral and written tests about medical procedures and practices.  Dr. Jones has been board certified in Otolaryngology since 1992.

Since the late 1980’s Dr. Jones has attended numerous educational conferences held by the AAFPRS, visited masters in our society to view their techniques, and has an extensive library of books, tapes, and journals to provide the most up to date techniques in facial plastic surgery.

Dr. Jones' mission is to make you feel better about yourself physically and spiritually.  Each one of us holds memories of how we looked during our youthful years.  Dr. Jones wants to help you turn those pleasant memories of yesterday into today’s reality.
