 Blepharoplasty (Eye Lid) Surgery:

      • Upper Lid
      • Lower Lid

          Blepharoplasty

Occasionally people undergo eyelid surgery to correct some issues they might have with the aging process.  These issues include: sagging skin, folds of skin, excess fatty deposits, bags underneath the eyes, excess skin, fine wrinkles, and lower eyelids drooping or sagging.  After the procedure, these individuals experience a great sense of rejuvenation and a youthful appearance.

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid) Surgery improves the upper eyelids, or lower eyelids appearance.  It also gives a more refreshed look to the other areas surrounding the eyes.  Following the procedure, people experience having a more rested and alert appearance.  This procedure corrects all of the issues discussed in the above paragraph and more.  Individuals express greater levels of confidence.  Being able to improve one’s peripheral vision, because of drooping skin, limiting the eye’s sight, is another benefit from Blepharoplasty Surgery.

Good candidates for this procedure are: Healthy adult men or women, people who do not have a serious illness or medical condition that may impair the healing process, non-smokers, individuals with definite goals and looking for positive results, people that have no serious eye conditions.

Chemical Peel:

A Chemical Peel is a great way to get rid of those problem areas concerning the skin. Problems such as texture of the skin, blemishes, wrinkles, uneven skin pigmentation, acne, and pre-cancerous skin growths, can all be treated with Chemical Peels. Also, be aware that every person’s skin is unique and requires its own level of action or treatment..

Chemical Peel

Alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) can be used to treat skin problems like rough, dry skin.  AHAs smooth the skin, giving the face a natural healthy glow.  They may also help by controlling acne and producing clear vibrant looking skin.  AHAs can be combined with a bleaching agent to aid in the correction of pigment problems with the skin.

Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) is used to tackle the following skin issues: fine surface wrinkles, general blemishes, and uneven skin pigmentation.  Patients undergoing this type of TCA treatment notice more significant results than from the AHAs.

Phenol (Carbolic Acid) is a stronger chemical solution and produces a deep peel.  Phenol is used to treat patients with well defined facial wrinkles.  This also helps to rejuvenate blotchy skin, and skin that has been damaged by the sun.  Patients experiencing the Phenol see more drastic improvements than the two previous acids individually produce (AHAs, TCA).  The type of chemical used will depend upon the patients needs.

A Chemical Peel can also be used in addition to a Face Lift, but not as a substitute.

Rhytidectomy (Face Lift) Surgery:

Patients interested in undergoing a Rhytidectomy, or more commonly know as a face lift, are wanting to erase the signs of aging in the face and neck.  The purpose of this procedure is to give the patient a more appropriate contour to their face by getting rid of:  sagging in the mid-face region, deep creases along the nose, deep creases below the eyelids, displaced fat that has fallen or shifted, jowls created by the loss of muscle tone in the lower face, or the appearance of a double chin.

face lift

The face lift will not correct every feature on the face, but other procedures may need to be conducted in conjunction with the Rhytidectomy to achieve the patients specific goal(s).  A brow lift may need to be utilized in order to correct some sagging skin or a deeply furrowed brow.  Eyelid surgery may be recommended to fulfill the patient’s desired look by rejuvenating the eyes.

The face lift does not change one’s basic appearance, and cannot stop the aging process.  But, once again, it does help to eliminate crow’s feet (fine wrinkles at the corner of each eye), creases and folds in the forehead, sagging in the mid-face region, deep creases along the nose, deep creases below the eyelids, displaced fat that has fallen or shifted, jowls created by the loss of muscle tone in the lower face, and the appearance of the double chin.

This procedure gives the face a healthier, more youthful appearance, and it also increases self-confidence.  Recovery from this procedure usually takes about two to three weeks, and many patients start working again in as little as two weeks (recovery time varies from patient to patient).

Excision Skin Cancer:

Skin Cancer

Patients with skin cancer seek to find a surgeon to remove a cancerous area on the face or neck surgically. The skin cancer is removed by cutting the cancerous skin out along with some healthy skin to be sure that the cancerous region has been eliminated.

Surgery is the most common method for treating skin cancer.  After removing larger tumors from the skin, a skin graft (a thin peace of skin taken from another part of the body, usually from the inner thigh) is placed over the open area and acts as a replacement for the old skin.

Forehead Lift:

This procedure, also known as a brow lift, is made to help individuals who suffer from deep creases that develop across the forehead region or high on the bridge of the nose.  These patients may also show signs of frown lines (vertical creases that occur between the eyebrows).

Forehead Lift
A Forehead Lift improves a patient’s troubled areas by: eliminating frown lines, minimizes creases and folds that carve through the forehead, reposition a low or sagging brow that overshadows the upper eyelid, lift the eyebrows to a more refreshed and youthful position.

After the completion of the procedure, patients reveal a more rejuvenated and contouring look to their faces.  Patients no longer appear to look tired, angry, or even sad, because of old frown lines or a sagging brow.  The forehead lift improves the patient’s self-confidence and fundamental appearance.

Procedures that may be utilized along side of the Forehead lift include: eyelid surgery (rejuvenate aging eyes), and a face lift (corrects changes in the mid-face, lower-face, and neck regions).

Dermabrasion:

Dermabrasion

This procedure is also known as surgical skin planing.  Patients who undergo Dermabrasion are seeking a solution to the following skin problems: scaring caused by acne, age spots, wrinkles, skin lesions, pox marks, scars from accidents or diseases, tattoo scars.

Dermabrasion is a procedure that revives the top layers of the skin.  The skin is frozen and then with an abrasive action is “sanded” to remove the damaged layer of skin.  This improves the contour of the skin as a new layer of skin replaces the treated skin.  The new skin has a smoother feel and appearance.

Healing usually occurs within 7-10 days, and most people resume normal activities after 7-14 days of healing.  This procedure bolsters the patient’s self-confidence and offers smoother, clearer skin.

Facial Liposuction:

Patients that do not feel confident or are displeased with their appearance because of fatty deposits in the facial region that are disproportionate to the rest of the face, undergo Facial Liposuction to correct their flawed features.

Liposuction

Many individuals suffer from having disproportionate features in the facial area and seek an answer to this problem.

This procedure gives the skin, on and around the face, a more contouring look and feel that is very appealing to the eye.  The surgeon uses a tool referred to as a cannula, this is inserted through a small incision that is positioned in an unrevealing location on the face or neck.  Then the surgeon extracts the fat cells by using a pump or a suction syringe.

The result of this procedure is a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.  The face is sculpted into a more attractive shape, and patients love this benefit of Facial Liposuction.  Patients may look younger and even feel better about themselves.

People that have good skin elasticity are good candidates for this procedure.  For patients that do not have good skin elasticity, a face lift can be utilized in conjunction with the Facial Liposuction.  The face lift tightens the skin after the fat cells have been removed from the face or neck, to give a younger, more sculpted, appearance.

The healing process for this procedure is typically seven to ten days.  Most patients, after surgery, can continue normal activities after about one week of healing.

Fat Transfer:

This procedure is also known as Autologous Fat Transplantation or Micro

Fat Transfer

Lipoinjection.  The Fat Transfer
procedure is chosen by patients who want to correct flaws in the facial region.  Flaws such as: wrinkles around the mouth “laugh lines”, creases in the forehead region, poor definition in cheeks and chin, sunken areas beneath the eyes, and other facial wrinkles.  Patients that have this procedure, appear to be younger, more alert, and rejuvenated.

The procedure occurs by taking the patients own fat from a donor site on the body, and then transferring it to a location on the face for re-contouring.  The fat is injected and fitted into the flawed area.  This corrects many sunken areas on the face, facial wrinkles, or facial deformities.

This procedure is non-allergenic because the fat donated is coming from the patients own body.  Fat Transfer is safer than injectable collagen, because some people may be allergic to injectable bovine collagen, and a Fat Transfer produces great results.

Otoplasty (Ear Surgery):

An Otoplasty is a procedure that changes or alters the appearance of the external ear.  Most patients that receive such treatment are between the ages of four and fourteen.  The ear is nearly fully grown by the age of four.  This procedure is also common for adults.

Otoplasty
Patients who undergo this type of procedure are very pleased with the outcomes that they receive.  The ears can be reshaped or changed to suit the patients' needs and goals.  Many problems that patients face with their ears are: protruding ears, lop ear (the tip of the ear folds down and forward), cupped ear (very small ears), shell ear (the curve in the outer rim, natural folds and creases are missing), large or stretched earlobes, ear lobes with wrinkles and creases.  All of these issues can be corrected and contoured to look more attractive and natural though an Otoplasty.

For patients that were born without ears or have lost them in an accident, new ears can be constructed.  Also, patients that have deformed ears or abscent-microtic ears, can have these ears reconstructed.

Rhinoplasty Surgery:

The most significant feature on one’s face is their nose.  The Rhinoplasty is a procedure, also know as nose reshaping, that can improve the look of a patient’s face.  This is possible by slightly altering the shape and/or size of the nose.  Since the nose is the most valuable feature on a person’s face, a slight improvement of the nose can really give a patient a more attractive appearance.

Rhinoplasty

Some patients suffer from problems with the shape of their nose such as: deformity from birth, deformity from injury, signs of aging, trouble breathing through the nose, nose is too large, angle of the nose in relationship to the upper lip.  These are some of the key issues that can be corrected through the utilization of a Rhinoplasty.

After the surgery, patients are pleased with their younger and rejuvenated appearance.  This procedure can reshape the nose of a patient to create a high self-confidence and beauty.  One of the great aspects of this procedure is that the majority of incisions are made within the nose, and are hidden.

Alloplastic Implant Surgery (Chin & Cheek):

This procedure is meant to enhance facial features and rejuvenate the contours of a patients face.  Many facial issues can be addressed and corrected with this procedure.  Some patients may want to pronounce their cheek bones, or give their face a fuller, more balanced appearance.  Others may desire a more sculpted or chiseled look by reshaping the jaw line.  Even others may aspire to have an attractive facial profile, by receiving alterations to the chin area.

Alloplastic Implant Surgery can also be utilized in conjunction with other facial plastics procedures.  For instance, after a face lift (the skin is pulled tighter, and contoured to the facial bones), a patient may want to pronounce certain facial features to reveal an even more beautiful and youthful appearance.  Patients may want to fill in sunken areas in the facial region to bring balance and proportion to the rest of the face.

Whether a patient was born with a facial deformity, or received a facial deformity through injury, Alloplastic Implant Surgery is a great way to give the face more attractive facial attributes.
Cheek and Chin Implants
The way this procedure is performed is by inserting the implant through a small incision, and placing it on top of the targeted facial bone under the skin.  A small incision is made in an inconspicuous location on the face (the location depends upon where the patient’s surgery is being performed), as to hide the incision through the healing process.  The implant is then carefully set into place and the incision closed.
